Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
We, the Afrikaner Boere live in interesting times.
Before this generation, the British caused the Boer nation great harm, but the Lord, our God used it all for a good purpose.
We were forced to not remain in the comfort of our Cape farms, but rather to explore and discover the interior part of the land.
Though the times had been tough, God had a plan with this nation, and by overcoming the challenges, we received, in turn, more gold and diamonds than most countries could only dream of.
Yet, God used the Great Trek to make this Boer nation, a strong people. We acquired physical strength against the enemy and elements in nature, but also became strong in character, with an iron will to win.
With that, we built this country up to where it is today. Not because we are so clever and strong, but because the Lord’s love and mercies have been and remain to this day, a cover over His children.
Then it happened. The exact thing that happened over and over with the Israelis, (and which in times past, lead to their exile.) Something which is currently happening to many European countries as well.
In our comfort and abundance, did pride and haughtiness take its place. Even to such an extent that we as a people decided that we are more clever than the Word of God.
We decided that we will interpret the Word of God to what seems comfortable to us, even to such an extent that it will not offend anyone.
Human rights became more important than the Truth.
Our men do not have the knowledge anymore of what it means to fight for righteousness. We do not even know what righteousness in itself is, because very few of us really, ardently study the old testament anymore.
Our woman wants to be equal to men, and our children decide that a godly life is not meant for them and instead give themselves to substance abuse, alcoholism and an adulterous lifestyle.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, does not slumber, nor sleep. The God of Israel, the Creator of Heaven and earth, He is the Alpha and the Omega, He holds us, His people still in His hand.
In the times we then currently live in, do we reap the fruits thereof.
We live in fear in our homes and in our streets. We do not have peace when we go out, or when we come in. Our children, our families and our elderly, are murdered on the farms and elsewhere.
We marry wives, but other men sleep with them. We are robbed and plundered from the belongings in our homes, and the enemy consistently speaks fear, hatred, and death over our lives.
Our cities are dirty, our younger generation confused and people are fleeing out of the country.
But our God has not forsaken us. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, does not slumber, nor sleep. The God of Israel, the Creator of Heaven and earth, He is the Alpha and the Omega, He holds us, His people still in His hand.
All these things we experience and observe is a warning to us. It is a warning of what will come, if we continue on this road we are on.
In vain, Afrikaner Boer, do we look to Europe for help. They have their own problems, which are just as life threatening.
In vain, Afrikaner Boer, do we lay our complaints with the government and the authorities about our troubles.
The government that rules over you can’t even look after their own people. What makes you think that they will help us against the brutal farm killings?
So how then are these times interesting?
The times are interesting in the sense that, now is the time to turn back to God. To realize who our God really is, and to start standing up for His righteousness in our lives. That very life of righteousness and holiness will we only find in the Word of God, and in a relationship with Him.
It is now the time for our Afrikaner Boer men, woman and children, to go on our knees, to repent of our sins, and to return to the true God.
Now is the time for us Afrikaner Boer men, to stand up for what is right, and not to be scared of what other people say of us, nor of their political correctness.
The time is now, for our woman to realize, the importance of what it means to pray for your husband and to support him in his fight.
The time is now, for our children to learn from their parents, what it is to work with faith and to fight for that which we believe in.
The time is now, for us who stand in righteousness, to stand firm, and not to be blind for the condition of our Afrikaner Boere people.
We have now the opportunity to make a difference. But it has to be done under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. From within ourselves, will we not make a big impact.
Let us pray for a judge, a leader to save us from out of the hands of the enemy. That person will not necessarily look like the person we expect him or her to look like. God pulled Gideon out of a winepress for the saving of the nation.
But we have to ask Him for it.
The Lord wants to save us. The Lord does not want one farmer to be killed in a farm killing anymore.
He loves us very much, and we are still His people and His children. Let us search our hearts, and once again turn to His goodness and Holiness.
It won’t be easy, but we will in the wisdom and power of the Lord, obtain the victory.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
All praise and glory to our God, who lives and reigns forever and ever.
